We are happy to announce that as of Monday, August 9, 2021 we will be open again for clients to come to Martha’s Closet to shop for themselves and/or their family. We will be open the same days and times as before but will be opening under new Covid19 guidelines. Due to Covid-19 we have had to make changes to our current outreach clothing ministry processes to put in place safety precautions for both our clients and our volunteers.

We are still a referral-based clothing ministry. Clients must be referred by an agency, school or church. You may refer a client by submitting an online referral form. To refer a client to Career Closet, please send an email to

Martha Closet referrals will be reviewed and approved as they are received. You will receive a ‘Confirmation’ email that your referral was received and has been approved for your client to come to shop. You will receive for each new referral sent. The new Covid19 Guidelines will be attached for you to read and please review with your client. The second page is a ‘Client Copy’ for your convenience that can be printed and given to your client for their reference before coming to shop at Martha’s Closet.

We appreciate your partnership with Martha’s Closet/Career Closet and we look forward to assisting your clients in their clothing needs.
Thank you for your patience as we open up and serve your clients under our new Covid19 guidelines.

About Martha’s Closet

In 2017 we made a major shift in our Clothing Ministry. We moved our Clothing Ministry to a new location and formed a partnership between formally Forest Park UMC and Huntertown UMC.

Martha’s Closet is a referral based ministry, that provides clothing to those who are in need. Guests must be referred by an agency/church/school.

Following completion of the referral form you will receive confirmation prior to our next open date.

Volunteer Information

Has your schedule changed?  Can you serve in any of these ways:

1.  Tag the size with masking tape on shoes and pants (from home)
2.  Organize clothing in Martha’s Closet or Career Closet (days/times flexible).
3.  Pull orders for guests as referred by area agencies, churches and schools.
Our “open” hours for our volunteers only are Monday 9-1 and Thurs 12-3.  Carpooling from Huntertown may be an option as well.
Of course, there would be training, there would be someone with you, and we are following really good social distancing measures.  if you would like to learn more, contact
