Study Connection Tutors
August 28 - October 31
Study Connection, a community service group within Fort Wayne Community schools, will be hosting a tutoring site at Lifehouse Forest Park . We would be tutoring Forest Park elementary students on Mondays from 3pm-4pm.
As a volunteer, your time commitment is only one hour once a week during the school year. If you are unable to give one hour a week, we would encourage you to find a co-worker or friend or who is willing to share a student. As buddies, the two of you take turns meeting with your student.
Individuals do not need any special skills to become a Study Connection volunteer, but we are looking for people with a desire to provide a student with a positive role model. Traits of a good volunteer include patience, understanding, dependability, flexibility and discretion. As a volunteer you may be asked to help with basic math and reading, spelling, writing, and organization skills.
All volunteers must successfully complete the volunteer application process prior to being matched with a student.
