A Sunday of Unity
During Jesus' most trying time, as He was facing death, He prayed for us! Can you believe that? During a time in which you and I would be inclined to pray for ourselves, Jesus prayed for others. What did He pray? He prayed that we would be unified.
Unity is a tough thing to come by these days. There seems to be disunity and division everywhere we turn. That was never the intention of the Church. Sure, we all have our opinions and we don't all agree on those opinions. Fortunately, that is not the kind of unity Jesus was talking about. The unity Jesus was referring to was a unity in Him. An agreement that Jesus, our Savior, is the foundation upon which we are building our lives. During this time of disunity, we believe it is time for the Church to refocus on what unifies us: Jesus. And what better way to do that than to share Him with others?
On July 5th, we are inviting you to join us for "We Are One" Sunday. We will be worshipping on our online campus only that day (so don't come to our physical campuses because...well...we won't be there). Instead, we are asking you to find one way you can share the love of Jesus on that day.
Think of someone who could use a dose of Jesus and do something for them. It really is that simple. Just an opportunity to love on someone else so they can feel Jesus and you can experience the joy of loving others.
Just think, if everyone who calls Lifehouse home extends the love of Jesus to someone else, how many people will be blessed. And, to make it even better, in the midst of everything going on, we are reminded of the thing that unifies us: Jesus.
Won't you join us on July 5th as we proclaim to the world that in Christ, we are one!
We would also love it if you would share your stories with us. Just click below and tell us how you blessed someone else.
